Managing Internal Conflict at Work
An immediately useful workshop that your staff will love!
This highly interactive and entertaining workshop provides participants with practical skills, confidence and motivation to pro-actively manage a variety of conflicts that occur in most workplaces. ARETE will cover everything from annoying behaviours and bullying to personal harassment, human rights and threats of violence.
How ARETE Training Works
In any workplace, most people understand how to conduct themselves in a way that fosters, enhances, and is generally consistent with a productive, professional, and respectful work environment. Rather than merely educating staff on how to behave or describing “what a respectful workplace is”, most employees, supervisors and managers need the motivation, assertiveness and confidence to effectively speak up and manage conflict early on.
Staff members also need to have the confidence that their organization supports the process of managing internal conflict.
What to Expect in Training
Participants can expect to be involved in and challenged to respond to realistic non-scripted scenarios throughout the training. Internal conflict will be broken down so that it can be dealt with effectively. Participants will walk away with the skill set and the confidence to deal with co-worker conflict before it gets out of hand.
Clients frequently report hugely positive culture shifts after ARETE sessions are delivered, often in some of the most confrontational work environments.
ARETE’s Managing Interal Conflict training provides the following:
- Increased confidence to speak up
- Motivation to support co-workers
- Scenarios that challenge participants to question and understand previous choices of inaction
- Acknowledgement that most workers are reasonable, but often choose not to address the small percentage who are not
